Carbon Monoxide Leak Closes Area Near Disneyland Resort

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on June 15, 2026, Anaheim Fire & Rescue and Anaheim Police responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a hotel in the 1000 block of West Ball Road in Anaheim.

Firefighters entered the building to investigate and discovered elevated levels of carbon monoxide inside the property.

Due to the dangerous readings, a hazardous materials response was requested to assist with locating the source of the gas.

Investigators ultimately traced the problem to a leak located in the basement of the building.

As crews worked to secure the area and stop the leak, hotel guests were instructed to shelter in place while emergency personnel monitored conditions throughout the property.

Hazmat teams remained on scene conducting air monitoring and ensuring the building was safe for occupants.

No injuries were immediately reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
