Fire Tears Through Vacant Dallas Home
Firefighters battled a house fire early Monday morning in Dallas.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on August 31, 2026, Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the area of Caillet Street and Newmore Avenue after multiple callers reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a home.
Arriving firefighters encountered an active structure fire and declared a working fire as crews began firefighting operations.
According to neighbors, the residence had previously been used as a rental property and had been vacant since May.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Dallas Fire-Rescue Arson Unit. No additional information was immediately available.
