Mercedes-Maybach Wrecked In Deadly Koreatown Crash

One person was killed and a woman was hospitalized following a traffic collision early Friday morning in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood.

The crash was reported at approximately 12:30 a.m. on August 28, 2026, near 8th Street and Ardmore Avenue.

Emergency crews arrived to find a heavily damaged SUV that appeared to be a Mercedes-Maybach. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman, possibly the driver of the Mercedes, was transported to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately available.

Preliminary information indicated LAPD may have been searching for a silver Nissan Altima potentially connected to the collision that may have left the scene. Its exact involvement in the crash was not immediately confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
