Gas Station Looted During Bellflower Street Takeover
A street takeover in Bellflower turned into a burglary early Monday morning when masked suspects broke into a gas station and began stealing merchandise.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on August 31, 2026, near Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue.
Surveillance video obtained Monday shows masked suspects using a hammer to break the glass on the front door before entering the store and taking beer and other merchandise.
An employee who was inside attempted to fight off the suspects with a dustpan before retreating behind the counter, which is protected by bullet-resistant glass.
The crowd eventually dispersed as sirens could be heard approaching the area.
The employee’s identity has been obscured in the video at the request of the business owner for safety reasons.
No arrests have been reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
