Firefighters Nearly Crushed By Collapsing Roof (CAUGHT ON CAMERA) | San Bernardino

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 12:45 AM LOCATION: Highland Ave x Eucalyptus Dr CITY: San Bernardino DETAILS: On Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, San Bernardino County Fire responded to a reported commercial structure fire near Highland Ave and Eucalyptus Dr. in San Bernardino. The first arriving engine observed an abandoned tire shop with heavy smoke from the roof. Minutes later, the entire roof was engulfed with flames. Firefighters took a defensive posture to extinguish the blaze. While fighting the fire, a large portion of the facade almost came crashing down on two firefighters. Luckily the captain noticed seconds before and both were able to escape before the collapse. No injuries were reported. An investigator is en route to determine the cause of the fire.
