Firefighters Battle Massive Warehouse Fire In Rancho Cucamonga

A massive commercial structure fire tore through the roof of a building in Rancho Cucamonga early Thursday morning, prompting a defensive firefighting operation and a hazardous materials response.

On October 22, 2026, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Rancho Cucamonga firefighters responded to the 9800 block of 6th Street, where flames were burning through the roof of a large commercial building.

Firefighters attacked the blaze from outside using aerial master streams and deck guns.

According to radio traffic, a fire investigator had responded to an earlier fire alarm at the facility and observed water flowing from the sprinkler system on the building’s east side.

Unable to access the building, the investigator reportedly shut off the sprinkler system and left approximately five minutes before a nearby fire was dispatched. Upon hearing the call, the investigator immediately upgraded the response to a commercial structure fire.

A hazardous materials team was requested due to an unidentified potential hazard inside the building.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no connection between the earlier sprinkler incident and the fire has been established.
