Two Women Injured in Vehicle Rollover Crash on Westbound SR-54 in Bonita

LOCATION: Westbound SR-54 / East of Briarwood
CITY: Bonita, CA.
DETAILS:

1. The California Highway Patrol along with San Miguel Fire-Rescue and San Diego Fire-Rescue responded to a call of a vehicle rollover on the Westbound SR-54 just East of Briarwood in Bonita.
2. When First Responders arrived, they found a single-vehicle rollover accident with 2 females still inside of the vehicle.
3. One woman was able to get out of the vehicle on her own while the other had to be extricated from the vehicle.
4. It is unknown how the crash occurred but the reporting party stated the vehicle rolled over approximately 4 times before landing back on its wheels.
5. Both women were transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital in serious condition.
6. The California Highway Patrol is investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
