Motorcycle Rider Ejected After Crashing Into Vehicle

DETAILS:
- LBPD and LBFD responded to the intersection of E 7th street and Gardenia Avenue for reports of a motorcycle vs vehicle, with the motorcycle rider being down in lanes of traffic.
- Upon arrival, LBPD located a traffic collision of a motorcycle that struck a vehicle making an eastbound turn onto 7th street from Gardenia Avenue with the motorcycle rider down with injuries.
- The female motorcycle rider was evaluated by LBFD and was transported with moderate injuries to a local hospital after being ejected upon impact into the vehicle. The rider was wearing a helmet.
- The motorcycle and vehicle involved had to both be towed and the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.
- LBPD is handling the investigation.
