Phoenix Police Officer Stabbed In The Neck, Suspect Taken Into Custody

LOCATION: 1707 West Bell Road

DETAILS:

  1. Per Phoenix Police radio traffic, an officer was dispatched to the QT at 1707 W. Bell Road around 1:00 AM in reference to a report of a trespasser.
  2. At approximately 1:19 AM, dispatchers requested urgent backup assistance to 1707 W. Bell Road for an officer who was stabbed.
  3. Moments later officers from several precincts were requested to respond to 1707 W. Bell For an officer down.
  4. Officers then reported the suspected was in custody and the scene was secure for fire crews to approach.
  5. Several officers and Phoenix Fire crews responded to the scene.
  6. The officer was transported to Honor Health Deer Valley in unknown condition.
  7. The suspect, an adult male, was evaluated by Phoenix Fire and transported to a local hospital.
  8. The person transported by fire crews in this video is the confirmed suspect NOT the officer.
  9. Several detectives and the Mobile Command Van are on scene.
