Houston: Armed Robbery Suspect Shot Dead By Legally Armed Citizen

3.26.2019 | 10:00 PM | HOUSTON – A man with a concealed weapons license shot an armed robbery suspect dead in self-defense, Tuesday night.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting inside an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Greens Parkway around 10:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a masked man dead on the ground with a rifle.

Initial investigation revealed that a man was at the location to purchase a game console when a masked man armed with a handgun approached him.

Fearing for his life the prospective buyer, who has a concealed carry permit allowing him to possess a firearm, exchanged gunfire with the suspect.

The immediate area was cordoned off while police continued their investigation into the apparently justified shooting.
