Broken Water Pipe Sends Massive Geyser Four Stories High In Loma Linda
A broken water pipe sent a massive geyser shooting more than four stories into the air outside a San Bernardino County government building in Loma Linda early Tuesday morning.
On November 3, 2026, at approximately 1:55 a.m., the Loma Linda Fire Department responded to 10417 Mountain View Avenue at the San Bernardino County Child Support Services building following reports of a major water leak.
Arriving firefighters discovered a powerful stream of water shooting high above the building, creating a towering geyser while flooding the surrounding parking lot.
Firefighters traced the source of the water to a broken pipe connected to a fire sprinkler valve.
Crews were able to shut off the valve, stopping the flow of water.
It remains unclear whether the high-pressure water caused any damage inside the building.
The cause of the pipe failure is currently unknown.
No additional details were immediately available.
