Houston: Abandoned Van Found Engulfed In Flames

04.03.2019 | 5:00 AM | HOUSTON – A panel van was found abandoned and engulfed in flames along a road, Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 8100 block of North Freeway around 5:00 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a white panel van engulfed in flames and worked to extinguish the fire.

Water used to douse the flames set off several dramatic magnesium explosions that were caught on camera.

The inside of the van was empty and no owner or operator was located in the immediate area leading authorities to suspect the van may have been stolen.

Officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspicious fire.
