DUI Driver Crashes Into LAFD Ambulance

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-6-24 | 11:14 p.m.
LOCATION: 6907 Whitsett Ave

DETAILS:

1. LAFD Rescue 89 was clearing a medical call on Whitsett when their ambulance was struck by a Honda Sedan
2. The driver struck the Ambulance & then crashed into a parked car further down the road
3. LAFD members were not injured
4. The driver of the sedan was evaluated at the scene but not transported to a hospital
5. Officers with Valley Traffic Division conducted a field sobriety test on the man
6. It was determined that the man was DUI and was taken into custody
7. There were open containers of beer located inside the vehicle
