Bellflower: Shooting Victim Approaches Authorities At Crash Scene

08.02.2020 | 1:40 AM | BELLFLOWER – A shooting victim rode his bicycle to a nearby crash scene to seek help, early Sunday morning.

Authorities were on scene of a traffic collision in the 9300 block of Alondra Boulevard, near Clark Avenue, when a male on a bicycle approached them around 1:40 AM.

The male reported he had been shot at and was injured in his leg.

Firefighter paramedics confirmed the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg and transported him to a nearby hospital.

Initial reports indicate a suspect in an older-model Chevrolet Astro van opened fire on the victim near the intersection of Lakewood and Alondra boulevards.

The shooting is under investigation.
