- “At about 7:00 p.m., deputies were requested to the Shell Station, at Apple Valley Rd and Yucca Loma Rd, for a report of a woman who had been shot. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. The woman has been transported to a hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown, but she was awake and aware when she arrived at the hospital. The suspect has been located and is in deputies’ custody. The investigation is ongoing.”

SUSPECT(S): Michael Bullock, 42-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, deputies from Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a shooting at the Shell Gas Station, located on the corner of Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road.
Upon arrival, at approximately 7:07 p.m., deputies found a 21-year-old female in a vehicle with gunshot wounds to her face and torso. Witnesses to the shooting informed deputies the suspect had left the scene in a vehicle and additional deputies began looking for the vehicle in surrounding areas.
Emergency medical personnel responded quickly to the scene and treated the victim. The victim was flown to a nearby trauma center for treatment, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
While the investigation was ongoing, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dispatch received information about a subject who was at a residence in Apple Valley and had reportedly shot someone at a gas station. At approximately 7:36 p.m. deputies contacted the subject, who was later identified as Michael Bullock. This shooting was found to be random, as the victim and suspect did not know each other.
The investigation led to the arrest of Michael Bullock, who was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center. Bullock is being held on charges of attempted homicide, in lieu of $2,000,000 bail.
