Suspect Rams Houston Police Officers During Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-6-24 / Just after 12:00 am
LOCATION: 15305 Katy Freeway
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. Officers observed the suspect at an apartment complex taking a hood of a car.
2. Officers attempted to make contact. The suspect rammed the officers vehicle and fled.
3. Officers searched the area and found the suspect vehicle.
4. They attempted to stop the vehicle but a pursuit ensued.
5. Several PIT maneuvers were attempted that eventually disabled the suspect vehicle.
6. A short standoff with the suspect occurred.
7. The suspect attempted to flee on foot across the freeway but the K9 was able to stop the suspect.
8. Officers were able to detained him.
9. The suspect vehicle caught fire. HFD responded.
10. The adult male suspect will be transported by ambulance to get checked out.
11. No officers were injured.
