Distracted Driver Causes 5 Vehicle Pileup | Chula Vista

12.15.2021 | 7:35 AM | CHULA VISTA – Four drivers were stopped at the intersection and heading north into National City when the male driver of the work truck slammed into the rear of a work van.

The collision started a chain reaction involving a total of 5 vehicles.

Many of the victims had a complaint of pain, but only one male was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

A witness told the Police that the driver of the truck was speeding and on his phone as he passed her, right before the crash.
