Vehicle Slams Into, Fence, Fire Hydrant And Then Burns | San Bernardino
08.23.2022 | 10:20 PM | SAN BERNARDINO – A man is alive and somehow uninjured after he reportedly lost control of his vehicle flew off the road, took out a chain link fence that lead to the San Bernardino river, hit a street pole & sign, and took out a fire hydrant and then burst into flames and stopped at the intersection of Del Rosa and Date pl. At around 10:20 first responders were dispatched to reports of a single vehicle TC with fire off of the Del Rose Exit. Upon arriving on scene firefighters found a single vehicle with significant damage and well involved in flames. About 200 yard down the road the rest of the property damage described above was found. The fire hydrant geyser was being redirected by a large sign that was bent over due to the crash and was redirecting a substantial amount of water into a residents from yard. Fire fighters quickly extinguished the blaze and did a trauma assessment on the driver whom appeared to be uninjured. San Bernardino PD and County Fire were still waiting for the water department as of 11 PM The crash is under investigation.
