Vehicle Crashes Into Fire Hydrant, Takes Over an Hour To Shut Water Off | San Bernardino
08.10.2022 | 7:30 PM | SAN BERNARDINO – A Vehicle crashed Into A Fire Hydrant next to small shopping parking lot allowing for a geyser of water with the vehicle stuck over it.
Fire fighters arrived on scene and found the the driver out of the vehicle whom appeared to be uninjured but shaken up.
At first fire fighters began working the on the shut off valve which reduced the geyser however this shut off valve became stuck.
This forced firefighters to have to climb down over 4 feet into the ground inside the flooded water basin.
Firefighters can be seen taking turns full submerged in the basin attempting to shut the valve off
It took over 1 hour to get the water completely shut off.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
