Hoist Rescue After Car Plunges 300 Ft Over Cliff | San Bernardino

10.11.2022 | 4:20 AM | SAN BERNARDINO – Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle over the side in Waterman Canyon. First arriving units locate a vehicle which had plunged 300 ft over the cliff. It took over 20 minutes for first responders to hike down to assess the victim. Due to difficult access, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s air rescue helicopter was requested to hoist the crash victim. The helicopter hoisted the victim to a nearby landing zone, where they were then transported via ground ambulance to the hospital in unknown condition. The vehicle is unable to be recovered due to the location it landed. Firefighters could be seen spray painting the crashed car in bright colors to avoid any additional calls at later times.
