Drunk Female Arrested For Driving Wrong Way on the I-10 | Bloomington
08.24.2022 | 3:20 AM | BLOOMINGTON – At 3:20 CHP received multiple reports of a wrong way driver driver east bound on the west bound side of I-10. It was reported that the driver was passing sierra east bound in WB headed toward cedar. The driver had been traveling for a while at a slow rate of speed missing multiple cars. Miraculously, a SEMI truck driver pulled in front of the wrong way driver and along with two other vehicles of two other samaritans of two other vehicles, they together stopped the driver in the number 3 lane and boxed her in so she could not leave. Also a passing by tow truck driver pulled in behind her ready to tow her car out of the freeway. Witnesses say that she immediately got out of the vehicle and threw an empty alcohol container off the side of the road. When CHP arrived they found the female driver sitting in the driver seat surrounded by good samaritans that would not let her leave. CHP officers quickly took her into custody and drove her away likely for field sobriety tests and then jail. No one was hurt in the incident.
