Car Plows into Restaurant | Houston

4.17.2021 | 11:22 AM | HOUSTON – A car plowed into an unoccupied restaurant after colliding with another vehicle Sunday morning, sending the driver to the hospital.

Houston Fire & police officials responded to the Zydeco LA Diner, located in the area of San Jacinto & Pease.

Arriving units located a 2 vehicle accident with 1 vehicle inside the restaurant.

1 patient was transported with non life threatening injuries according to the Sergeant at scene.

The restaurant was closed at the time of the crash, and according to the owner off camera, he hopes to reopen next week.

Initial information provided was that the driver of the car which crashed into the restaurant attempted to pass another vehicle on the left before clipping that car and leaving the roadway. The damage to the other vehicle was minimal.
