Yorba Linda: Wrong-Way DUI Driver Crashes

12.21.2018 | 12:51 AM | YORBA LINDA – A suspected DUI driver traveling wrong-way on a freeway crashed head-on into another car, Friday morning.

Officers were responding to reports of a wrong-way driver when additional reports indicated the vehicle crashed on the westbound SR-91 freeway near Gypsum Canyon Road around 12:50 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a two-vehicle crash with heavy damage to the front of both vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene treated both patients from each vehicle and transported them to area hospitals.

Reports from the scene indicate the driver of the wrong-way vehicle appeared to be under the influence.

Officers were following-up with the suspect at the hospital.
