Wrong Way Driver Flies Off Freeway After Crash

DETAILS:

1. HPD units are investigating a crash between a 18 wheeler and a vehicle.
2. It was reported the female was traveling westbound in eastbound lanes.
3. She was stopped in the moving lane of traffic when a 18 wheeler was unable to stop on-time and struct her.
4. The crash caused her vehicle to fall off the freeway down to ground level landing in some trees.
5. She was extricated out of the vehicle by HFD and transported by ambulance in critical condition.
6. She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
7. The 18 wheeler driver was not injured.
8. Investigation is underway.
