Wrong Way Driver Crashes Head On Into Innocent Motorist

1. CHP received reports of a wrong way driver going eastbound in the westbound lanes of the 10 freeway near downtown. The driver of the Dodge Charger was able to transition southbound in the northbound lanes of the 110. The driver took the northbound FastTrack as CHP continued receiving calls of a wrong way deriver. A LAPD helicopter spotted the driver going wrong way at Florence just before smashing head on with a Hyundai at the Manchester exit. The Dodge driver got out and walked away right into CHP custody. There were two people in the Hyundai at the time of the crash. The driver of the Hyundai was possibly ejected while the passenger was trapped. LAFD freed the passenger and transported them o an area hospital. The driver was worked on and transported as well. All lane were shut down temporarily. CHP is investigating.
