Wrong-Way Driver Causes Dump Truck to Flip | Jamul

09.16.2022 | 7:11 AM | JAMUL – the male driver of the commercial dump truck was eastbound on Honey Springs Rd carrying a load of cement pieces and dirt. He told the CHP officers that another vehicle that was coming westbound, came into his lane on a curve. He swerve to avoid the head-on collision and ended up hitting the right-shoulder rocky wall/embankment. He lost a wheel and flipped onto the truck side. The other driver kept going. The driver was able to self-extricate and was not injured. Debris covered the eastbound lanes. Over 100 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled. One-way traffic control was conducted until the road was completely shut down due to the recovery of the trump and the clean-up of the roadway.
