Woodland Hills: Pursuit Ends With Barricaded Suspect

07.09.2019 | 12:40 AM | WOODLAND HILLS – A man was in custody after fleeing police during a lengthy pursuit, early Tuesday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a reckless driver near the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Tyrone around 12:40 AM.

The driver failed to yield to officers prompting a high-speed pursuit.

The driver finally crashed into a Chase Bank at the intersection of Desoto Avenue and Ventura Boulevard and barricaded himself inside his vehicle.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s SWAT team responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody after a brief standoff.
