Woman & Two Dogs Rescued After Crashing Into Canyon | Hacienda Heights

1.20.2021 | 11:31 AM | TURNBULL CANYON – A female was transported to a trauma center and her two dogs sustained no injuries after her vehicle flew off the roadway into a canyon 100 feet down Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities were called to the windy stretch of Turnbull Canyon Road between Skyline Drive and Vallecito Drive just after 11:30 AM regarding the solo vehicle wreck.

Rescuers arrived to locate the sedan heavily damaged with one female and two dogs still inside the car.

Urban Search and Rescue teams arrived to help assist in removing the female from the thick brush.

After about 45 minutes, teams hiked out of the canyon with the female. The two dogs were recovered by CHP officers and secured, where they were fed the officers’ lunch and given water in a Starbucks cup.

The female was transported by ground to USC Medical center while CHP held onto the dogs to await the arrival of the driver’s boyfriend
