Woman Trapped After Being Rear Ended By Semi Truck

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-2-24, 7:47 a.m.
LOCATION: SR60 W WO / PERRIS BLVD
AREA/CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:

  1. Cal Fire, Riverside County, Riverside County Sheriffs Office and California Highway Patrol, responded to a multi car crash on the freeway.
  2. When they arrived, they found 4 vehicle and a semi involved in a crash (5 total vehicles).
  3. The semi rear ended a car, trapping the female occupant for about 20 minutes.
  4. She was transported to a local area hospital suffering from unknown injuries, that included a head laceration.
  5. At least 3 people were transported suffering from unknown injuries.
  6. One of the vehicles involved was a RSO employee from the Thermal area who was on their way to The Ben Clark Training Center for the day.
  7. The freeway is backed up to Nason St and traffic is being diverted to Ironwood Ave.
  8. As of 9:20 the freeway is backed up several miles and the scene is still active.
