Woman Stabbed to Death After Altercation

DETAILS:
- South Central patrol officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a report of stabbing in progress
- Upon arrival, officers found an adult female in her late 20s suffering from a stab wound to the upper right side of her chest. A friend was performing CPR on the victim at the scene.
- The woman was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
- The victim and suspect had a previous altercation at a nearby gas station shortly before the stabbing.
- The victim later walked with her friend to an open field nearby, where they encountered the suspect again, leading to another altercation that turned into a fatal stabbing.
- The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and is not currently in custody.
- Investigators believe the suspect is a female known to be homeless in the area.
- The relationship between the victim and the suspect is currently unknown.
