Woman Rescued From House Fire

Tempe Police and Fire responded to reports of a house fire in the 1900 East block of Redmon Drive early Saturday morning.

Officers arrived and located a house with flames visible through the roof of the structure.

Officers could be seen pulling a woman away from the burning house before placing her on a nearby sidewalk.

Firefighters arrived shortly after began an offensive fire attack and entered the house.

Additional firefighters began rendering aid to the woman and one of the officers.

The woman was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The officer declined medical transport.

Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire in approximately 40 minutes.
