Woman Rescued After Car Plunges Into Retention Pond In Spring

A woman escaped injury early Tuesday morning after her car went into a retention pond while she was driving to work in Spring.

The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on September 29, 2026, near 22300 Northcrest Drive, near an Amazon facility.

According to preliminary information, the woman missed a curve and drove into a retention pond.
Responding officers and firefighters worked with a wrecker operator to secure the vehicle while the woman remained inside.

The vehicle was then pulled from the retention pond with the driver still inside.
Despite the unusual crash, the woman was unharmed.

Investigators had not determined whether speed, distraction or another factor contributed to the crash.
