Woman Obstructs Firefighters During Rescue

Phoenix Fire responded to a single vehicle rollover on 47th Ave just North of McDowell Road early Sunday morning.

A gray sedan was traveling South on 47th Ave when it struck a parked pickup truck and rolled over, trapping the male driver.

Phoenix Fire arrived and began attempting to extricate the trapped driver out of the vehicle.

A woman became hysterical, forcing her way into the flipped car before being pulled away.

Firefighters guided the driver out of the vehicle.

Police arrived and began speaking with the driver as the woman began interrupting officers.

Officers temporarily detained her and took her away as they continued speaking with the driver.

The driver of the vehicle refused to take a field sobriety test and was detained before being placed in the back of a patrol car.
