Woman Killed In Violent Harvard Park Crash

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on June 22, 2026, Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a fatal traffic collision near Normandie Avenue and Gage Avenue in the Harvard Park area of Los Angeles.

According to witnesses, a blue Mazda SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a white Honda HR-V.

Witnesses also reported that the Mazda may have been involved in an earlier collision with a black Mercedes and may have been fleeing or being followed after sideswiping the vehicle. Investigators have not confirmed that information.

The driver of the white Honda suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim is believed to be an African American woman in her 50s, though authorities have not yet officially released her identity pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the blue Mazda was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

Investigators spent several hours documenting the crash scene and working to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the deadly collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
