Woman Killed After Her SUV Gets Hit By Amtrak Train

LOCATION: Los Posas Rd at Somis Rd

DETAILS:

1. Firefighters arrived and found a solo vehicle, a white Toyota sedan, that had been struck by an Amtrak train
2. The female driver was trapped requiring extrication and was in critical condition
3. A helicopter was requested and landed in the middle of the busy camarillo intersection where she was loaded in and taken to a nearby trauma center
4. The Amtrak train was carrying 240+ passengers at the time of the crash, none of whom were injured
5. The intersection was reopened as of 11:42am, VC Sheriff remains on scene investigating the incident
6. Update: VC Sheriff has released that the driver later died at the hospital.
