Woman Killed After Gun Discharges Inside Houston Home
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on April 18, 2026, deputies responded to a shooting at a residence in the 600 block of Harding Street in Houston.
According to investigators, a 25 year-old man and his brother were handling firearms in a common kitchen area when one of the weapons discharged. The round struck the man in the hand and then struck his 24 year-old wife in the upper torso.
Both victims were transported to a hospital, where the woman was pronounced deceased. The male remained hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that seven adults and three children were inside the home at the time of the incident, and no other injuries were reported.
The case is under review, with potential charges pending a decision from prosecutors or a grand jury.
