Woman Killed After Being Ejected During Violent Rollover Crash

LOCATION: NB I-5 @ E St.
CITY: Chula Vista
DETAILS:

1. The female driver of the BMW lost control of his vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed, northbound on the I-5 in Chula Vista.
2. The BMW left the roadway, traveled up the right shoulder embankment, struck a pole and an electrical box, and started flipping several times.
3. Once the car landed on the right shoulder, the driver was ejected approximately 50 feet into the traffic lanes.
4. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
5. Other vehicles may have been involved in the crash.
6. There may have also been a female passenger.
7. The CHP is investigating.
