Woman Dead After Car Crashes Into Senior Facility

On January 10, 2025, at about 9:55pm, Gilbert PD responded to the 700 Block of N. Lindsay Road in Gilbert regarding the report of a vehicle colliding into a building. As a result of the collision, it was discovered an 88-year-old female was deceased inside the building. The driver, a 33-year-old male, initially fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, but was later located and arrested.

The Gilbert Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Traffic Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and are actively investigating this case. Based on preliminary information, impairment does appear to be a factor.
