Woman Critically Injured After Car Crashes Into Buena Park Apartment
A woman was critically injured Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a ground-floor apartment in Buena Park, pinning her inside the residence.
On October 14, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded to a vehicle that had crashed into an apartment near Rostrata Avenue and 8th Street.
Emergency crews arrived to find a car completely inside the ground-floor unit. A woman inside the apartment was pinned for an extended period before being rescued and transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
Two people were inside the vehicle. Police took the driver into custody on suspicion of felony reckless driving. The passenger was detained but was not arrested.
The Buena Park Police Department is investigating the collision. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
An Orange County Fire Authority battalion chief provided an interview at the scene.
