Woman Crashes Off Freeway Into Drainage Ditch | El Cajon

04.02.2022 | 2:39 AM | EL CAJON – A woman was traveling Westbound on the I-8 freeway to the Northbound SR-76 connector in a Honda Odyssey when for unknown reasons she veered off the freeway and crashed down into a drainage ditch. The woman was not able to get out of the vehicle as firefighters helped extricate her. The woman was loaded onto a basket and brought back up to the shoulder. The woman was transported to a local hospital, her condition is unknown at this time. The California Highway Patrol will be investigating whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
