Woman Attacked by Transient Arsonist (Caught on Camera)

DETAILS:
- A transient male had started a fire on the side of a strip mall.
- A woman and her husband were driving by when they saw the fire, and she started to take a video of the fire and the transient who had begun it.
- As the suspect walked away, she decided to be a Good Samaritan and followed the male to get more video.
- While the husband parked, he couldn’t see his wife as she followed the suspect across the street and she was asking him his name.
- The suspect suddenly turned around and attacked the female.
- He started to hit her and knocked her to the ground.
- The suspect kept hitting the woman and attempted to take the cell phone from her.
- Another transient male (black male in the video) ran over and stopped the suspect from attacking the woman.
- The suspect ran away at this point.
- The Police are searching for the suspect.
- Firefighters put out the fire within minutes after their arrival.
- The woman was treated for several facial injuries by the Paramedics, but she and her husband did not want to be transported to a hospital and would seek their own medical treatment.
- The SDFD MAST team is investigating.
