- According to Corp. Bryan Johnson with the Buena Park Police Department, officers responded to a mobile home park for a reported gunshot wound call.
- When officers arrived, they found a woman down, suffering from a gunshot wound.
- It appears that the woman’s husband, possibly just returned from the shooting range and was in another room cleaning his gun, and there was a round in the chamber that he was not aware of. At that time, the gun accidentally went off, the round went through a wall and struck the wife who was in a different room.
- The woman was transported to a local area hospital suffering from unknown injuries.
- At this time, the man is cooperating with police and is not in custody.
