Wind-Driven House Fire Spreads To Vegetation In Hesperia

At approximately 2:38 p.m. on June 19, 2026, San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to a reported structure fire in the 17400 block of Capri Street in Hesperia.

Arriving firefighters found a single-story residence heavily involved in fire, with flames pushing through the roof above the garage.

Crews quickly established a water supply from across the street and began an aggressive attack on the blaze.

Driven by strong winds, the fire spread throughout the home and extended into vegetation behind the residence, creating additional challenges for firefighters.

During firefighting operations, crews were temporarily forced to halt portions of the attack after a high-voltage power line came down in the fire area.

California Edison responded to the scene to address the electrical hazard while firefighters continued working to contain the fire.

Video from the scene shows heavy flames and smoke consuming much of the structure as crews battled the wind-driven fire.

The extent of any injuries has not been released, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
