Wilmington: Driver Trapped After Crash Into Parked Big Rig

08.05.2020 | 1:26 AM | LOS ANGELES – A driver was trapped inside their vehicle after crashing into the side of a parked big rig, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with a person trapped in the 1000 block of East Lomita Boulevard in the Wilmington area around 1:26 AM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a person was trapped in their vehicle after crashing into a parked big rig.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the trapped driver before transporting them to an area hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
