Wildly Coyote Showdown, Lake Arrowhead, CA
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10.9.26 | 1:30 AM
LOCATION: Lake Arrowhead
AREA/CITY: Lake Arrowhead
DETAILS:
- This video shows a nasty coyote show down that took place in Lake Arrowhead a couple nights ago.
- Coyote sightings in broad day light are actually quite a normal accurance around here but to catch them in the dead of night displaying their most primitive behaviors is incredibly special.
- These three coyotes in the video are engaging in some kind of unexplainable show down, or a display of dominance.
- A local resident stated that after seeing the video of these coyotes engaged in this seemingly aggressive manner, she is now nervous and somewhat scared to be walking her dog alone in the early hours of the morning before going to work in the morning.
- Coyotes are a very beautiful and incredible animal to witness but they are very dangerous to pose a very real threat to pets and children.
- They are vicious and ruthless predators. They have been well known for attacking and killing small and medium sized dogs in fenced in yards, and even worse, they have been well known to even attack and kill small dogs that are leashed while being walked by there owners just feet and inches from the owner. They are capable in hunting alone, and in packs. Last but not least, and arguably the scariest fact about coyotes hunting tactics, is that they are very smart, and that they will stalk their prey for days even weeks by watching and learning routines of their prey, like when you take your small dog out, how often you leave it unsupervised, how long your back is turned, where the entry exit strategy is. and in hunting in packs, coyotes can and lure your unleashed dog from you and lure them into the packs ambush. they are very dangerous animals and cannot be disrespected.
