Whittier: Tesla Model 3 T-Bones Motorist Before Slamming Into Parked Cars

01.06.2019 | 10:50 PM | WHITTIER – Police are investigating after a Tesla Model 3 t-boned a motorists and then slammed into a row of parked cars, Sunday night.

Police responded to the reported crash near the intersection of Bailey Street and Pickering Avenue around 10:50 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a black Tesla Model 3 that had t-boned a car before slamming into a row of parked vehicles.

The crash severely damaged multiple vehicles including the Tesla but luckily no injuries were reported.

Witnesses say the Tesla was traveling westbound on Bailey Street when it ran a red light and slammed into another motorist.

Officers are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the vehicle’s self-driving feature was activated.
