Whittier: Suspect Injured After Pursuit Ends With Officer-Involved Shooting

04.30.2020 | 11:40 AM | WHITTIER – A suspect was injured after a pursuit that ended with an officer-involved shooting, Thursday morning.

A Whittier police officer attempted to stop a white sedan for unknown reasons shortly before 11:40 AM.

The male driver fled into an alleyway in the 7700 block of Comstock Avenue when the pursuit ended with an officer-involved shooting.

Firefighter paramedics treated the male suspect on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.

Officers cordoned off the area surrounding the shooting while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the pursuit termination and subsequent officer-involved shooting.
