Whittier: Suspect From Santa Fe Springs Stabbing Death Arrested

09.27.2019 | 11:30 PM | WHITTIER – A man wanted in connection to the fatal stabbing death of a man was taken into custody by authorities, late Friday night.

Authorities investigating the fatal stabbing of 27-year-old Christian Markee in Santa Fe Springs on September 25th, 2019 at around 3:13 PM identified a suspect near the intersection of Greenleaf Avenue and La Cuarta Street around 11:30 PM.

Officers from surrounding agencies along with a police K9 and helicopter responded to the scene to assist taking the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Jordan Hurd, into custody.

Hurd was sleeping in Lee Owens Park at the time and was taken into custody and booked in suspicion of murder.
