Whittier: Subway Robbed At Gunpoint

12.19.2018 | 8:20 PM | WHITTIER – A Subway restaurant was robbed at gunpoint by two bandits who made off on foot, Wednesday evening.

Police responded to the reported robbery at the Subway located in the 8300 block of Painter Avenue around 8:20 PM.

Units arriving on scene discovered that two men barged into the business wearing ski masks, gloves, and hoodies before displaying handguns and demanding cash.

The store clerks handed over approximately $150 in cash to the bandits who quickly fled on foot.

Officers were reviewing surveillance footage from the location in hopes of identifying the suspects.
