Whittier: Pursuit Suspects Crash Into Hydrant

12.30.2018 | 9:15 PM | WHITTIER – A pursuit ended when suspects crashed into a fire hydrant, Sunday night.

Deputies initiated pursuit of a vehicle with two occupants inside for unknown reasons in South Whittier shortly after 9:00 PM.

The pursuit ended quickly when the suspects crashed into a fire hydrant near the intersection of Leftingwell Road and Imperial Highway.

Both suspects were quickly apprehended after crashing.

Firefighters evaluated both suspects for injuries and worked to quickly secure water flow to the sheared hydrant.

It was unclear what charges both suspects might face.
